Flor&Ben's Site

Nitz was worried about Ben's choosing this song as it was vocally demanding. Besides, she told Ben that the favorite song that will surely make Flor cry is the song "I will be here" as sung by Gary Valenciano. With that....Ben decided to change his surprise number.

This is the 1st song Flor chose to sing for Ben as the lyrics of the song best describes what she feels. However...the notes were too high and so, Flor, the ever considerate one, decided to spare Ben and their guests of ear pain. Of course, this proved to be unnecessary, as the choir at the church had earlier on exposed people to charivari! hehehe

Ben prepared and practiced this song as a surprise for Flor (though it wasnt really a surprise since a little bird named Nitz told her as Ben needed a keyboard rented out. hehe). A few hours before the wedding ceremony, Ben could not find the paper where he wrote down the chords of the song. Unable to play the piano while singing this song, the surprise number was called off. Ben promised Flor that he will sing and play this song on the piano on their 10th wedding anniversary celebration.

The song was recorded at a professional recording studio - thanks to Nitz, the dear wedding coordinator. It took 3 hours for Flor to record the song, it being her first attempt to sing a full song in public. She almost did not sing this at the wedding. She is glad she did as she enjoyed their first dance very much!
